Ticketing Working Group

Our Purpose

The Ticketing Working Group exists to ensure that every Aston Villa supporter has fair, transparent, and meaningful access to tickets — at prices that remain affordable, equitable, and reflective of our values as a club and community.

Our aim is to champion a system that rewards loyalty, supports new and emerging fans, and strengthens the bond between supporters and Villa Park. We work to ensure that both home and away ticketing — across domestic and European competitions — is accessible, sustainable, and managed in a way that reflects the culture and inclusivity expected of Aston Villa fans.

This group is committed to helping the club grow its fan base responsibly, supporting all forms of qualifying membership, and ensuring that supporters feel informed, valued, and heard.

Our Mission

Fair Access for All

  • We are dedicated to promoting ticketing processes that are transparent, consistent, and inclusive.
  • This means ensuring supporter groups — from long-standing season ticket holders to new club members — understand how tickets are allocated and have confidence in the fairness of the system.

Affordability & Responsible Pricing

  • We will work with the club to explore pricing models that support sustainability while protecting accessibility.
  • Our approach is aligned with the Football Supporters’ Association’s recommendations, including the position on ticket price freezes across the Premier League.

Supporting Loyalty & Growing the Fan Base

  • A fair ticketing system should reward commitment while welcoming new supporters into the Villa family.
  • We will examine how loyalty is measured and how opportunities for attendance can broaden the matchday community.

Accessibility & Inclusion

  • Ticketing must work for everyone.
  • We will identify barriers faced by supporters — including young fans, older fans, disabled fans, and those facing economic disadvantage — and propose improvements to ensure that no supporter is left behind.

Clarity, Communication & Supporter Understanding

  • We will advocate for clear and timely communication across all ticketing stages — renewals, sales windows, away criteria, European fixtures, and seat relocations.
  • Supporters should always feel informed, prepared, and confident about the process.

Future-Proofing Villa Park

With ground development planned ahead of the 2026/27 season, the group will work to ensure that seat allocations, price zones, and season ticket impacts are understood, communicated, and grounded in fairness.

Our Objectives for 2025/26

  • Reviewing ticket allocation models
  • Examining pricing structures
  • Recommending improvements to concessions
  • Evaluating resale and secondary market challenges
  • Assessing technology and system performance
  • Strengthening fan-facing communication around tickets
  • Mapping stakeholder needs across supporters’ groups, the Club, and national bodies such as the FSA

Our recommendations will be delivered to the Club in time to inform policy for the 2026/27 season.
