The Aston Villa Fan Advisory Board has today published its full statement following Aston Villa’s announcement of ticketing arrangements for the 2026/27 season. You can read or download the full statement below
Over recent months, the FAB has engaged in an extensive consultation process with the club covering ticket pricing, supporter access, affordability measures, concessions, ticketing systems, and the wider matchday experience.
The statement recognises that many supporters will be disappointed by the club’s announcement of a 5% increase to season ticket and matchday pricing, particularly during a season in which Villa Park capacity will be temporarily reduced due to the redevelopment of the North Stand.
The FAB also explains that, while it supported the Football Supporters’ Association’s wider calls for restraint on pricing, discussions with the club increasingly focused on securing affordability protections and supporter mitigations once price rises became likely.
The statement highlights several measures welcomed by the FAB following the consultation process, including:
- the removal of the 1888 pricing category
- extension of concessions into Price Zone 1
- continuation of family bundle season tickets
- the new 23-game Champions League bundle option and associated discount/interest-free options.
- continued £25 domestic cup pricing
- and the commitment to freeze match-by-match ticket prices for 2027/28
The FAB also outlines a number of areas where further work remains necessary, including supporter access during the North Stand redevelopment, opportunities for younger supporters, improvements to ticketing systems and matchday experience, and ensuring fair access to tickets for Members during a season of reduced stadium capacity.
The statement concludes by reaffirming the FAB’s commitment to working both constructively and independently with Aston Villa while continuing to represent supporter concerns honestly and clearly.
