AVFC FAB supports FSA’s ‘Protect The Fans – Protect The Game’ initiative.

The Aston Villa Football Club Fan Advisory Board (AVFC FAB) are proud to join more than 100 supporter organisations, across all 20 Premier League clubs, in backing the campaign launched by the Football Supporters’ Association (FSA) under the banner “Protect the Fans. Protect the Game.”

The campaign calls on Premier League clubs to:

  • Commit to a two-season freeze on home ticket price increases for the 2026/27 and 2027/28 seasons
  • Publish transparent ticketing data (prices, sales volumes, policies, and supporter demographics) so that fans and their representatives are properly informed and engaged
  • Use the freeze period to conduct ongoing and meaningful dialogue with Fan Advisory Boards and supporter groups about how tickets will be priced in the future

In recent years many Premier League clubs have increased home ticket prices (19 clubs in 2024/25; 13 so far this season) and supporters rightly believe the time is now for a constructive pause and strategic engagement.

AVFC FAB believes that the supporters of Aston Villa – the loyal, long-term, home and away fans – deserve their voices to be heard and for decisions about ticketing to be taken in full view of those who make matchdays happen. We welcome this national initiative and look forward to working with Villa and other stakeholders in shaping more affordable, sustainable, and transparent ticketing arrangements for the benefit of all supporters.

We encourage our fellow supporters to read the full letter and signatories on the FSA website, and we will continue to keep Villa supporters informed of our engagement with the club on this important issue.
